Default Personal houses.

I know, this has been hashed before, but I've always seen it in the community type concept, not like I'm suggesting. I would like to see personal houses that are like mini-guild halls in the same way that you can only see and access your own GH. Cost so much of whatever to build, have some upgrade options perhaps, have a home storage which is only accessible in your house (not via the Xunlai), maybe a few more tidbits.

Interesting thought... you would be able to see your other characters in the house as non-interactable NPCs, just for fun. This would also me a good place for "pet storage". Go home, select one of your pets, go adventuring.

Guests could be invited (limit three?), and would not have any access to any features (including storage) in your house. No access to merchants from the house, but maybe an armor closet and a hat-rack? (Hat rack could show what the Hat NPC has available for you, even if you can't get one from the house)...

No types of battles would be initiated from the house.

I would definitely NOT want to see the lag infested cities spawn up from other suggested housing concepts. This would be a private chalet in the setting of your choice, and could help solve many storage woes.

I like the idea of having a storage house that's just for you because I feel that Storage just isn't large enough.

Love the idea of an armor closet, hate the fact my inventory pilles up when I have multiple armors.

Another cool thing would be being able to switch characters in your house without logging out.

Maybe your characters should be in the house (of course not the one you're using since you're controlling him/her), but it'd be cool just to see yoru own characters walk around.

I suggested something exactly like this on the guild-hall.net forums a year and some ago, but you know the PvP-only elitists there... shot it down completely "ANET SHOULD FOCUS ON PVP ALONE YOU CAREBEAR NOOB" etc. etc.

I would LOVE this... make it an enterable house somewhere up against the Shiverpeaks. Make it so you can go outside as well and look out on some fields with the mountains in the distance and your pets in the fields outside (if you have any). This should be possible as it won't be a graphic-heavy or large area, it should be easier on the system to make it fully enterable.

I would envision this as something you would map into, like the Guild Halls. However, you could choose, perhaps, a Shiverpeaks setting.

What would be even cooler would be a pen area where your character could see all the pets he/she's tamed frolicing together. There should be a one-per-type pet limitation however.

I would like a house setting like the one from Uru (of the Myst series) since the house would most likely be placed on the battle isles.

If and only if they were made like Guild Halls would I even see this as being possible. Also, they would probably have to be very expensive, because every player getting a house = massive surge in information needed to be stored on the servers.

/signed only if I can get a cute pair of hero twins (one a monk, the other an el) to be maids.

I'd also like it if it had extra storage for weapons, armor, dye, mats, etc. I'd be like xunlai but because you are paying more, you should get a ton more storage room.

If it's been hashed before why do you open a new thread?

Subject has been brought up on numerous occasions only to be resulting in 'pointless addition'

Good idea this could solve the "log out so you can log in as another character" problem. But have it so that the house is in the hall of the guild you belong too.

Well, of course it would mean more info to be stored for GW....so, why not bring out a PvE/rpg expansion pack. PvP players can simply not buy it and the PvE fans can get all kinds of extra's to enhance their game experience. I'm sure the forums contain enough ideas to come up with enough stuff to make such an expansion. It is as much a social gathering as a game and GW should keep that in mind if they want people to keep playing regularly I think.

I already finished NF with 8 characters out of the 10 I play and the other 2 are progressing nicely. I will be done with that soon and then it's another wait for the next one.

Surely there can be some things like in game games at the guild halls and other things like these that can keep you busy and motivated in between the new story lines...

I'd pay a small chunk of real change to snag a (serial) key to unlock a storage house for myself.

I don't know about all the "character's walking around/pets frolicing in the meadows" ideas, even though they are pretty neat. Just seems... load intensive for the servers, granted my knowledge of such things is limited.

I would like an armor closet and bigger storage though! Secret doors too! My house needs secret doors!

The idea is nice,
plus we would be able to see new titles there (huge money sink).
Pool -> swimmer title ->paying instructor to get trained
Chef's corner -> Luxury title -> paying sef to make hight end meals
Party Area ->Celebrity title -> paying huge amount to organize one
and more (i think it reminds me of sims but that was a war against clock)

No more pointless Titles please.

Now i cant sign or not sign this, it sounds like a nice idea, however im against PoHs in Guild Wars as we are on-the-go Heroes saving Tyria. But, again its a cool idea. And i also sometimes make pointless little additions.

So i dunno count me as
/wouldsignificould

But ill always stick to no PoHs in Guild Wars. It just doesnt seem right.
